About
I am Dr. Rajat Subhra Giri obtained my Ph.D. degree (July, 2014-April, 2020) from the department of chemistry at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati), Assam, India, under the supervision of Prof. Bhubaneswar Mandal. My thesis entitled ' Investigation on Supramolecular Arrangement and On-Resin Modification of Small Peptides.' I received my B.Sc.degree in chemistry from Midnapore college (Vidyasagar University, 2012), West Bengal, India. I qualified Joint Admission Test (JAM 2012), India, and then obtained my M.Sc. degree in chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, Assam, India (2014). I also qualified National Eligibility Test (NET-CSIR) June-2014 (CSIR rank-71) in Chemical Science, India, and Graduate Aptitude Test (GATE), 2014 in Chemistry, India. I am familiar with synthetic organic chemistry, peptide synthesis and their modification (solution phase and solid phase), crystallization of peptides, NMR Spectroscopy (1D, 2D), Single-Crystal X-Ray Diffraction (SC-XRD), Powder-XRD, HPLC, Mass Spectrometry (ESI, MALDI), FT-IR spectroscopy, FE-SEM, TEM, AFM, TGA-DSC, Circular Dichroism (CD), DLS, Optical Polarizable and fluorescence microscopy. My research interest includes peptidomimetics, supramolecular self-assembly of small peptides, crystal engineering, and Alzheimer's disease.
Now, I am working as Post-Doctoral Fellow under the supervision of Prof. Arabinda Chaudhuri at IISER Kolkata, India. My current research project is Up-scalable self-assembled lipid nanoparticles for in vivo targeting of SARS-CoV-2 antigen
encoded mRNA vaccines to dendritic cells
