About

Dr. Srijoni Banerjee is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at Adamas University, Kolkata, with expertise in bioprocess engineering, environmental biotechnology, and bioenergy. She obtained her Ph.D. from IIT Kharagpur and has built a strong research profile with over 50 peer-reviewed journal publications in reputed international journals. Her work has received 918 citations with an h-index of 16, highlighting its academic impact. Her research focuses on biohydrogen production, microalgal biorefineries, wastewater treatment, and carbon capture technologies. Dr. Banerjee has co-edited a book on recent advances in algal biofuels and biorefinery. She has also contributed numerous book chapters published by leading international publishers Springer. Also she has edited another book on Industrial Enzymes by Scrivener Publishing, Under the Wiley-Scrivener imprint. In addition to her publications, she is actively involved in funded research and consultancy projects, including MSME Idea Hackathon, IIT Kharagpur Research Park initiatives, and multiple industrial consultancy projects. She serves as a reviewer for several high-impact journals and actively mentors postgraduate and doctoral students, contributing to academic excellence and research advancement.
