About

Dr. Piyush Kant Pandey is the Vice Chancellor of the Amity University Chhattisgarh, Raipur. He studied Ferrous-Metallurgical Chemistry at the Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur received a Master's Degree in 1987 and a Ph.D. Degree in Environmental Depositions Chemistry in 1998. During his doctoral program, he was awarded Research Fellowship (1994) in Environmental Protection and Formation at Univerzita J. E. Purkyně, Czech Republic, by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India, and the Czech Republic.
He also obtained PG-Diploma in Management and later he was awarded Ph.D. (Fellow of Management) in 2018 from IIM Indore in OB&HR.
He was the first to identify Arsenic and fluoride toxicity in the region of Central India. His study team then concentrated on all areas of health, contamination extent, bioaccumulation, polluted water treatment, and contaminated soil remediation, among other things.
As a result of these accomplishments, he was appointed as a Government of India Regulator and recognized EIA Expert. He served for three years as a member of the Government of India's State Environmental Assessment Committee (SEAC), which the Ministry of Environment and Forest appointed through a gazette notification.
He has already supervised 25 Ph.D. students plus 2 pursuing scholars, 25 Master's students, and 27 Master's Diploma theses.
He is a productive researcher who has worked on Funded Research projects nationally and internationally (Completed 12 Research Projects). He has worked on major scientific research projects funded by the Technology Systems Group of the Department of Science and Technology in New Delhi, the All-India Council of Technical Education in New Delhi, the Research Promotion Scheme of the CG Council of Science and Technology under DST New Delhi funding, the Bhilai Steel Plant in Bhilai, and the Board of Research on Nuclear Sciences of BARC in Mumbai.
He has worked as the Dean of the Indian Institute of Health Management Research, Jaipur. He was also the Founder Principal of Bhilai Institute of Technology, Raipur, and the Founder Faculty of Bhilai Institute of Technology, Durg.
He has also served as the Group Director of the Sanjay Rungta Group of Institutions Bhilai and the LCIT Group of Institutions, Bilaspur.
His research has resulted in the publication of over eighty-five papers, all of which have appeared in prestigious, peer-reviewed journals. He has also published two books.
He believes that the modern education and research require transdisciplinary and interdisciplinary functioning.
