Dr. Jay Prakash is an Associate Professor in the Department of Critical Care Medicine at Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences, Ranchi. He has been recognised for his contributions to the field with multiple prestigious awards, including the Research Excellence Award (2021) and the Jharkhand Social Excellence Award. His extensive research and clinical work have earned him appreciation from national and international societies, including the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists (ISA) and the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM).
Dr. Prakash has delivered over 80+ invited talks at national and state-level conferences, workshops, and CMEs, and has played a key role in organising more than 100+ academic events. He has an impressive academic output with over 100+ national and international publications, serving as an editor of one book, section editor for two books, and contributing to 25 book chapters. His editorial contributions extend to journals such as the Critical Care Communications, European Journal of Medical Research, and BMC Anaesthesiology. Additionally, he serves as a reviewer for journals including BMJ Open, JBI Evidence Synthesis, and PLOS One.
He holds key professional positions, including Secretary of the Ranchi Critical Care Society (RCCS), Scientific Secretary of the Bihar-Jharkhand Society of Anaesthesiologists, and Treasurer of the Ranchi Society of Anaesthesiologists. His contributions also include forming an ECMO Society, where he serves as the Secretary.
His research and clinical interests include Critical Care Medicine, Pain Management, Anesthesia, HFNC, Sepsis, Respiratory Medicine, Airway Management, Meta-Analysis, and Research Methodology.
