About

Dr. Shahnawaz is currently serving as the Director of Academics, Advance Studies, and Research and Chairman of Purchasing Committee at Iqra University, Karachi, Pakistan. He holds a total of 17 years of full-time university teaching, research, mentoring, and thesis supervision experience in the private sector. In addition to serving as a member of the Ethical Review Board (ERB), Academic Council, Board of Faculties, Board of Studies at Iqra University, he is also a member of the Advisory Board of a Ziauddin University’s journal and review boards of 19 national and international scholarly research journals. He has served as an Associate Editor of an HEC-recognized research journal in 2020-21. He has presented various research ideas at national and international conferences abroad and has published over 25 research papers (including 9 Scopus-listed Q1 to Q4) with 770+ Google citations (i-10index =17). He has also published a monograph on Leadership and Strategy in Germany. His research interests include the dark side of leadership, workplace mistreatment, multi-level modeling, and creative performance in higher education. He has successfully completed a ten-day comprehensive Training of Trainers (ToT) conducted by Sindh Higher Education Commission Karachi under Faculty Development Program in May 2023.

He earned his Ph.D. in HRM from an AACSB and AMBA-accredited business school of Malaysia in 2021. Earlier, he received his Postgraduate Diploma, a ‘triple-crown’ (AACSB, AMBA, & EQUIS accredited) MBA, and B.Sc. Honours from the United Kingdom. He has secured seven consecutive ‘Distinctions’ in his academic career and has clinched the First Class First Position at Sindh Board of Technical Education. He is also an HEC-approved Ph.D. supervisor and five Ph.D. candidates are going to complete their doctoral thesis under his sole supervision soon. Moreover, in addition to supervising 40 industrial projects of MBAs, 32 M.Phil. and 250+ MBA students have successfully completed their research thesis under his sole supervision. He also manages his academic channel on YouTube (@shahnawazadil2020). He enjoys horse-riding, playing scrabble, watching long tennis and cricket, cooking, and long driving.
