Robert Panmei

About

Dr. Robert Panmei did his Post-Graduation (M.Sc. in Forestry; 2013) and Ph.D. (Forestry; 2019) from North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST), Nirjuli Arunachal Pradesh. He worked as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a DST Funded Project in NERIST before his Ph.D. enrolment. He is a Gold Medallist in M.Sc. (Forestry) and a DST INSPIRE Fellow. He is skilled in collection, identification, taxonomic enumeration and nomenclatural verifications of plants and forest resources; collection and maintenance of germplasm; documentation of ethnobiological and TKS in north east India. His area of research interest are Forest products utilization & management, Angiospermic Taxonomy, Biodiversity conservation, Ethnobotany and Forest Legislation. He is teaching PG students in Deptt. of Foresty, Manipur University from the year 2019. Apart from teaching, he is also reviewer of manuscripts for many national and international journals.
