About
My research addresses a fundamental question in neuroscience and clinical medicine: How does the brain clear metabolic waste under physiological stress and disease, and can this process be actively modulated in humans?
I specialize in the glymphatic system and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) dynamics, integrating cerebrovascular pulsatility, brain compliance, autonomic regulation, and neuroimmune drainage. My goal is to develop mechanistically grounded, non-pharmacological interventions for CNS disorders.
Clinical Research: Multimodal Neuromonitoring | Neurofluids-Solute Imaging | Neurosurgical Implications
Contributed to the NIHR-funded RESCUE-ASDH trial (Global Neurotrauma group) at the NIMHANS-Neurosurgery, Bengaluru study site.
Preclinical Expertise: Skilled in rodent and large mammal models to investigate CNS disease pathophysiology.
Core Interests: Neurofluids | Brain Clearance | Photobiomodulation | EECP | CNS-Peripheral Connection | Yogic Breathing & Nature-based Interventions.
Background: Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Neurosciences, University of Groningen, The Netherlands; MSc in Neurosciences, University of Regensburg, Germany; Basic Medical Studies (MBBS), Goa University, India.
