About
I am an evolutionary ecologist and macroecologist interested in how ecological and evolutionary processes shape biological diversity and how anthropogenic change is reshaping these patterns. My research spans spatial, temporal, and phylogenetic scales, integrating large-scale biodiversity datasets, fieldwork, experiments and predictive modelling. While I often draw inspiration from reptiles and amphibians, my research spans diverse taxa and takes a global perspective. Specifically, I investigate: (i) the ecological and evolutionary processes that generate and maintain broad-scale biodiversity patterns, including species distributions and trait distributions; (ii) how species and communities are reorganising in response to environmental change and the mechanisms driving these shifts; and (iii) how climate change and other anthropogenic pressures will alter biodiversity, with the goal of developing predictive approaches that inform conservation.
