About
José Cecílio received the B.S. and M.Sc. degrees in electrical and computer engineering and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from the University of Coimbra, Coimbra, Portugal, in 2006, 2008, and 2013, respectively.
He is a Senior Researcher with the Centre for Informatics and Systems, University of Coimbra, Coimbra, Portugal. His main research interests are in the areas of Brain-computer Interface (BCI), Internet of Things, Embedded Systems, Distributed Systems and Communication Systems, with focus on embedded devices for health care, wireless networks, and vehicular networks. He actively participated in several industrial projects related with automation and robotics. Dr. Cecilio is a licensed Professional Engineer.
