About
I am a Senior Research Scholar (Ph.D.) at the School of Chemical Sciences, National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute under the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India, and a constituent of Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI). I completed my M.Sc. in Applied Chemistry from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Silchar, Assam, and my B.Sc. in Chemistry from Utkal University, Odisha, India.
My research focuses on advanced photophysics and fluorescence-based imaging, particularly single-particle and single-molecule spectroscopy, with an emphasis on understanding energy transfer, charge transfer, exciton dynamics, and excited-state processes in functional nanomaterials.
I have extensive experience with FLIM, FCS, TCSPC, and femtosecond upconversion spectroscopy, enabling time-resolved investigation of ultrafast and nanoscale photophysical processes. My work also involves FRET-based systems, AIE/AIE-ESIPT materials, and fluorescence-based sensing, with applications in bioimaging and optoelectronic materials, particularly through super-resolution imaging approaches using STED and advanced confocal microscopy techniques.
Experimentally, I am proficient in correlative microscopy and multimodal characterization techniques, including FESEM, HRTEM, STEM (with HAADF imaging), and EDAX/EDS elemental analysis, along with AFM, confocal microscopy, DLS, and optical spectroscopies (UV–Vis and fluorescence). This integrated approach enables direct correlation of structural, compositional, and photophysical properties at the nanoscale.
My research goal is to bridge nanoscale photophysics with functional imaging and sensing applications, particularly in biologically relevant and hybrid material systems.
