About

I am a highly accomplished researcher and educator with a strong background in molecular biology, bioinformatics, and cellular signaling. Holding a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Kashmir, I have dedicated over a decade to advancing scientific knowledge in areas related to cellular response to stress, cancer biology, and protein structure-function relationships.
During my postdoctoral fellowship funded by the Department of Health Research (DHR) and the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), I led a research project investigating the dynamics of eIF4E in relation to autophagy and cell division, with implications for cancer genesis. My work involved generating mutants, conducting transfection studies, and analyzing cellular responses, contributing significantly to the understanding of key molecular mechanisms in cancer development. I served as a Research Associate at the University of Kashmir, where I delved into the intricacies of rapamycin-mTOR-S6K phosphorylation, challenging existing paradigms and proposing novel hypotheses in the field of cell signaling. My contributions to elucidating the role of phosphorylation in S6K1 regulation have been recognized in the scientific community.
My academic journey also includes teaching and mentoring roles, where I imparted my expertise to postgraduate and graduate students, fostering a passion for scientific inquiry and critical thinking.I have published several research articles in reputable journals.
Driven by a relentless curiosity and a commitment to advancing scientific frontiers, I continue to explore new avenues in cellular and molecular biology. My diverse skill set, encompassing laboratory techniques, bioinformatics, data analysis, and effective communication, positions me as a valuable asset in any research or academic environment.
