About
Dr. Vinoth Kumar is an expert in industrial biotechnology, and his research brings the fusion of biocatalysis, chemical engineering, and nanotechnology to address future industrial needs. His research focuses on designing integrated bioprocess approaches for the production of industrial enzymes, biosurfactants, biofuels, and platform chemicals for the biomass valorization and removal of contaminants from aqueous systems using dedicated lab/field experiments. Over the past 12 years, Dr. Vinoth has been involved in fruitful research and made significant contributions towards the development of various formulations of bioproducts for agribiotech and food biotech industries. He was successfully granted six industrial and government research projects.
He has already published 5 patents and 90 high-impact scientific publications in internationally reputed journals with citation indices of 2029. He is listed in the Top 2% Scientist (specialized in biotechnology with environmental science) announced by Stanford University, USA (2020/21). His magnum opus contributions towards research and development for uplifting the scientific community as well as the human society have bought numerous accolades to his name, which also include the ‘Canadian-Commonwealth Scholarship Award’ (2012/13), Canada, ‘Excellence Program Scholarships for Foreign Students award’ (2016/17 & 2018/19), Fonds de recherche du Québec, Québec, Canada and “invited guest professor award” (2019/20). He established successful research collaborations with countries like Canada, Mexico, Portugal, Vietnam, and Spain in the area of waste management and wastewater treatment.
