About

I would like to introduce myself as Dr. Tankeshwar Prasad, working as Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Godavari Institute of Engineering and Technology: Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, India. I have done B.E. in Mechanical Engineering, M.Tech. in Design and Manufacturing from NIT Silchar and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from NIT Silchar. In my M.Tech. project work, I completed my thesis on “Thermo-physical behaviour of sol-gel synthesized ZnO nanoparticle based epoxy matrix composites”. The area of research field in my Ph.D. program was "Healing in FRPs composites, I completed my PhD Research work under the guidance of Dr. Sudipta Halder in Nanocomposite, FRPs and Material characterization laboratories at National Institute of Technology Silchar. My thesis was focused on “Latent initiator based multiple healing in epoxy matrix GFRPs composites”. I worked as Design Engineer at Sobha Developers Ltd., Bangalore in Department of Mechanical Engineering for more than one year. I have a working experience of more than two years on Design and drafting in industry and teaching in academic institutes.
Presently, I am working on polymer nanocomposites, surface functionalization, hybrid multi scale laminated composites, bio-composites, and self-healing materials. I have published more than five SCI international journals and four conferences proceeding journals.
