Born in 1954, obtained education at A. M. U. Aligarh from 1969 to 1979, completed Ph. D. in 1979. Also worked as Post Doc Fellow at Delhi University till Dec. 1981. Presently working as Professor of Geology at Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India. Successfully completed four sponsored research Projects, and guided five students for their Ph. D. degrees. Interested areas of research are sedimentary geochemistry and mineral deposits.
