About
Harjeet Singh is a versatile Microbiology researcher with expertise in Forensic Mycology, Environmental Microbiology, and Clinical Mycology. Holding a Ph.D. in Botany with specialization in Clinical Mycology, and a background in Biotechnology, his research spans fungal enzymes, molecular markers, and innovative methodologies. Currently engaged in a government-funded project at Parul University, he focuses on enhancing cellulase activity in fungal strains for biomass saccharification, resulting in pending patents. Dr. Singh's pioneering work in Forensic Mycology led to the creation of 'Myco-Fingerprinting,' a novel method for criminal investigations. His prior research includes developing early detection markers for aspergillosis and genetic studies in cattle. Proficient in various characterization techniques, he has contributed significantly to publications, demonstrating a proactive, interdisciplinary approach to research. Driven by a passion for innovative ideas, Harjeet aims to address Northern India's pollution concerns and elevate Forensic Mycology in criminal investigations. Committed to securing research grants and impactful publications, he seeks to advance scientific frontiers.
