Dr. Mostafijur Rahaman is working as an Institute Post Doctoral Fellow (IPDF) in the Department of Mathematics, National Institute of Technology Silchar in India. Earlier, he worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics & Statistics, Vignan's Foundation for Science, Technology & Research from 26/06/2025 to 07/02/2026 and in the Department of Mathematics, Mohan Babu University from 21/05/2024 to 01/04/2025. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Mathematics, Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur, India, in 2024. He was an awardee of UGC-JRF and UGC-SRF for his Ph.D. tenure by the University Grant Commission (UGC). Earlier, he did M.Sc. in Mathematics (Pure) and B.Sc. (Honours) in Mathematics from the University of Kalyani, India, in 2017 and 2015, respectively. He received the UGC Merit Scholarship for Rank Holder during his M.Sc. for securing first position among first classes in B. Sc. (Honours) in Mathematics. His research interests include supply chain and inventory planning in uncertain environments, differential equations under uncertainty and fractional ordered calculus, etc. Till date, he has published 38 research articles in journals of repute and seven chapters in edited books. He is an active reviewer of many journals of repute.
