About
I am Dr. Abhishek Kumar Singh, currently working as an Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering at Bennett University, Greater Noida, India. I completed my Ph.D. (2023) from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Delhi, where my research focused on the physics of liquid jets in electrohydrodynamic (EHD) jet printing, including identification of stable jetting regimes and scaling laws for jet diameter and current, along with the physics of moderately stretched electrified jets. I developed a customized EHD-based 3D printing platform for the fabrication of master molds for microfluidic devices.
I obtained my M.Tech. (Alternate Hydro Energy Systems) from IIT Roorkee (Rank 1 in AHEC), during which I worked on thermoacoustic instability and transient growth in propulsion-related systems. I was also awarded the DAAD Fellowship (2012–2013). My research interests include microfluidics, droplet microfluidics, high-resolution micro/nanoscale additive printing, electrohydrodynamic atomization/electrospraying, electrospinning, flow cytometry, and multiphase flow. I have expertise in microfabrication and characterization techniques such as epifluorescence microscopy and Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV), and numerical simulation using COMSOL/Fluent along with MATLAB/C++ based analysis
