About
Dr. Ankit Kumar Yadav is currently working as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Schepens Eye Research Institute, Department of Ophthalmology, Harvard Medical School. Prior to that, he was an Institute Post-Doctoral Fellow in Transportation Systems Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay. He received his Ph.D., Masters, and Graduate degrees from IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, and IIT Roorkee in 2021, 2017, and 2015, respectively. During his Ph.D., he spent two months at Hokkaido University, Japan attending the International Research Skills Program for Developing Sustainable Transportation System and Infrastructure (STSI program).
His research interests include human factors in transportation, road traffic safety, driver behaviour modelling, traffic psychology, travel behaviour, and intelligent transportation systems. His scientific articles have appeared in various international journals such as Accident Analysis and Prevention, Transportation Research Part F: Traffic Psychology and Behaviour, Journal of Safety Research, Travel Behaviour and Society, Transportation Research Interdisciplinary Perspectives, Traffic Injury Prevention, and Drug and Alcohol Dependence journals. Due to their strong contributions to society, his research has been covered by various media houses including Hindustan Times, India Today, and NDTV.
