Dr. Raghvendra Kumar Mishra is an accomplished academic and researcher with a focus on nanomaterials, polymer composites, and their wide-ranging applications. He holds a PhD from the School of Aerospace, Transport and Manufacturing at Cranfield University in the United Kingdom, which he earned through an EPSRC(UKRI). His educational journey began with a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering, which he completed in 2012, followed by an MTech. in Materials Science and Technology from the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (ISRO) in 2015. Dr. Mishra's research journey has been marked by a series of significant contributions and collaborations. He served as a Visiting Researcher at various institutions, including City University of London, London South Bank University, and the University of Chandīgarh in India. He held the position of Research Assistant at IMDEA Materials in Spain from June 2018 to May 2019. He also gained substantial experience during his tenure as a Senior Visvesvaraya Project Fellow at the Department of Electronics & Information Technology (DEITY), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, from September 2015 to February 2017. His expertise and research prowess have earned him several awards and recognitions. Dr. Mishra was named the Excellent Researcher of the Year (Male) by GERA in 2019, and he is a Fellow of EPSRC (The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, UK). He secured a fellowship and offer letter from NTU Singapore in 2019 and was honored with the Indian-Overseas Excellent Researcher Award from GSIR Foundation in the same year. He also received the Best Reviewer Award from the journal Vacuum of Elsevier in 2019. Notably, he was recognized as a prestigious Visvesvaraya Fellow from 2015 to 2018.
Dr. Mishra's research interests encompass an impressive array of topics within the realm of nanomaterials and polymer composites. His work includes exploring new applications of nanomaterials, developing nanomaterials-based systems for diverse functionalities, creating biopolymer-based composites, and utilizing advanced fabrication techniques such as electrospinning and 3D printing. He is an expert in materials characterization, possessing skills in spectroscopy, microscopy, and thermal analysis. Additionally, Dr. Mishra's research has resulted in a significant body of literature. He has authored and contributed to numerous books, including "Sustainable Polymer Composites and Nanocomposites," "Micro and Nano Fibrillar Composites (MFCs and NFCs) from Polymer Blends," and "Thermal and Rheological Measurement Techniques for Nanomaterials Characterization," among others.
