Dr. Sunita Shivprakash Barve is a distinguished academician, researcher, and thought leader with over 23 years of academic and research excellence. She currently serves as Deputy Director – Academics and Research and Professor in the School of Computer Engineering at MIT Academy of Engineering, Alandi, Pune.
She holds a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Bharati Vidyapeeth, Pune, for her pioneering research on “Multi-agent Reinforcement Learning Based Routing in Cognitive Radio Networks.” She earned her B.Tech and M.Tech, both with distinction, from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere.
An active IEEE Member, Dr. Barve is globally recognized for her expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, and responsible AI. She has published 60+ papers in reputed journals and conferences, with over 791 citations, highlighting her research impact. Her contributions to multi-agent systems and cognitive radio networks have been supported by prestigious research grants, including ₹16.38 lakh from AICTE and ₹1.4 lakh from SPPU.
As Deputy Director – Academics and Research at MITAOE, she leads academic excellence through curriculum innovation and outcome-based education. She fosters a vibrant research culture and promotes interdisciplinary collaboration among faculty and students.
