About
Dr. Sumit Kumar is currently serving as Assistant Professor in the PG Department of Chemistry at Magadh University. He obtained his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research and completed his M.Sc. in Physical Chemistry from Banaras Hindu University. He also worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry, Germany. His research interests include physical chemistry, molecular spectroscopy, quantum chemical calculations, molecular dynamics simulations, non-covalent interactions, and computational materials science. Dr. Kumar has published numerous research papers, book chapters, and review articles in reputed international journals and publishers including ACS, Elsevier, Springer, Wiley, CRC Press, and the Royal Society of Chemistry. He is the recipient of the SERB Start-up Research Grant (SRG) from the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, and has actively contributed to academic research, scientific conferences, and international collaborations.
