I am currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Central Institute of Technology Kokrajhar, Assam. After completing the Master of Science and Master of Technology in 2011 and 2013 respectively, I had received Ph.D. degree from the Faculty of Technology, Gauhati University in 2019. My Research interests fall across Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, Information Security, Information Searching and Retrieval. Thereafter I was actively engaged in a project called “CLIA-Cross-Lingual Information Access” executed in collaboration with various reputed institutes like Gauhati University, IIT Mumbai, IIIT Hyderabad and IIT Kharagpur etc. In this project, the mandate of our team was to assist in developing a search engine for Indian languages. In addition I was also engaged in various NLP related activities like Development of the Assamese Stemmer, WSD module and Assamese Parser etc. In these areas, I have published research articles in reputed conferences, workshops and scientific journals. I presented an article in the COLING conference held at IIT Bombay in 2012. In GWC 2019 held at Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, Poland, I had presented another article. I have also visited reputed institutions like CDAC Pune, IIT Patna and University of Kashmir for various research related activities which gave an encouraging opportunity to enhance my research experience. In near future with the help of my academic knowledge and exposure, I will carry out my research works to strengthen my mother-tongue language by appropriate and significant analysis of its characteristics from technological perspective.
