About
Dr. Manab Kundu is a Senior Researcher at the Iberian Centre for Research in Energy Storage (CIIAE), Spain. His research focuses on the development of advanced nanostructured materials for electrochemical energy storage devices, including lithium-, sodium-, and potassium-ion batteries, hybrid supercapacitors, and solid-state systems. He specializes in electrode design, electrolyte development, and interface engineering, combining materials chemistry with applied electrochemistry.
Dr. Kundu earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Jadavpur University, India (2012), and has held academic and research positions at premier institutions in India, Portugal, Norway, Russia, and Spain. With over 12 years of international research experience, he has authored more than 75 peer-reviewed publications and holds an Indian patent on flexible high-voltage supercapacitors. His research has been supported by both EU and national funding bodies.
He has supervised postdoctoral fellows, Ph.D. candidates, and numerous MSc and BSc students, and has extensive experience in mentoring interdisciplinary teams. Dr. Kundu has designed graduate-level courses in physical chemistry and electrochemistry, developed research laboratories, and organized international workshops in energy storage. He also serves as a reviewer for leading journals and research funding agencies.
