About
Professor at Government College University Faisalabad, Pakistan
Postdoctoral Fellowship from SBBS, University College Dublin, Ireland
Master-2 Research & PhD from University of Burgundy Dijon France.
Being the Chairman of the Department of Environmental Sciences at Government College University Faisalabad, Pakistan, and the incharge of the Environmental Microbiology & Biotechnology Lab, I have a keen interest in advancing the applications of the microbiological and biotechnological approaches in environmental sciences with a special focus on environmental pollution control. Under this focus, I have published more than 100 articles which have received more than 4400 citation, h-index of 33 and i10-index of 69.
Over the years of my service, I have successfully secured 9 national and international research grants leading to the establishment of an Environmental Microbiology & Biotechnology Lab in the department. I've had the privilege to mentor and guide 8 PhD, more than 30 MPhil and 6 MSc students in this field.
I am also an active contributor to the scientific community, serving as an editorial board member for different journals including PeerJ and Asian Journal of Agriculture & Biology. For community services related to the field of environmental sciences, I established a society named as Green Youth Movement Club in Government College University Faisalabad. Being the focal person of this society, I have organized several seminar, training workshops, practical activities and awareness walks related to the filed of environmental sciences.
I believe that my research interests are diverse and but have the potential to make a significant contribution to addressing some of the world's most pressing environmental challenges. My research interests include:
- Environmental Microbiology
- Environmental Biotechnology
- Water and Wastewater Treatment
- Bionanotechnology
- Life Sciences
