About

Dr. Arvind Kumar Pandey is an Associate Professor of Anatomy at Kasturba Medical College (KMC), Manipal, and Deputy Director of Student Affairs (Health Sciences), Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). He is actively involved in academics, research, and administration, with a strong focus on holistic student development.
As a core faculty member of the Medical Education Unit (MEU), KMC Manipal, he has contributed significantly to the implementation of Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME), including the Foundation Course, OSPE, interactive teaching–learning methods, and structured mentorship programs etc. He also conducts various faculty development programs.
His excellence in teaching and commitment to the holistic development of students have been recognized through several prestigious honors, including the Excellence in Teaching Award (2018), Good Teacher Award (2017), and the Distinguished Alumni Award of KMC Manipal (2016).
Dr. Pandey has held several key roles at KMC Manipal including Faculty In-Charge – Student Affairs and Alumni Relations, Co-Chairperson – Disciplinary Committee, Secretary – Anti-Ragging Cell and Squad, Team Leader – Crisis Management, and Member of the NAAC Action Team (MAHE).
A recognized PhD guide of MAHE, he supervises UG, PG, and PhD research projects. His research interests include medical education, clinical anatomy, anthropometry, and student welfare, with publications in reputed national and international indexed journals. He is an AHA-certified Basic Life Support Instructor and a Fellow of ACME, MAHE FAIMER, and FAIMER of Competency-Based Education (FACE).
In addition, Dr. Pandey played a vital role as Team Leader in the digitalization of 100 core specimens of the Anatomy Museum, KMC Manipal, contributing significantly to technology-enabled learning and preservation of academic resources.
Overall, Dr. Pandey’s career reflects a strong integration of academic, research, leadership, administrative responsibility, and student-centric initiatives, aimed at nurturing competent, ethical, and socially responsible healthcare professionals.
