About

The principal investigator Dr.Y.D.Dwivedi has total 33 years of working experience which includes 16 years in Indian Navy (Air Squadrons) as Aircraft Maintenance Engineer specialized in airframe (aircraft hull, aircraft systems, wings etc) and Aero Engines (gas turbines like Artouste, Rolls Roycee etc) the PI had been also involved during Indian peace keeping mission (operation Pawan) in Srilanka (1988-89) and United Nation Peace Keeping in Somalia(1995). He has been commended by Flag Officer Commanding in- Chief Eastern Naval Command Visakhapatnam for excellent performance for his devotion to duty in the field of aircraft/ helicopter maintenance, repair and over haul. On retirement from Indian navy worked as Production Manager/AGM in field of polymer and composites for 4 years in Hyderabad. He has also published 25 research papers (+1 paper are submitted for publication) in international journals and presented 22 Research papers in world/international conferences and 8 papers in national conferences related aeronautics/ aerospace topics. He has 13 years of teaching experience for undergraduates students in different colleges/University and recently became the member of editorial board in International Journals of Advances in Transport Phenomenon by Basha Research Centre Hyderabad. He is involved in many undergraduate projects and conducting conferences and workshops which are appreciated by local media. One project “Automatic FOD detection and Prevention” is appreciated by GMR international airport Hyderabad during 2011. He is Associate Member of Institution of Engineers India, Member of American Helicopter Society and Member of ISTE. Presently working as professor in Institute of Aeronautical Engineering Hyderabad, India.
