About
Currently working as a Principal Scientist (Biotechnology Plant Science) at ICAR-Central Research Institute for Jute and Allied Fibres, Kolkata, India. My area of research includes Genomics and epigenomics of bast fibre crops, especially Jute (Corchorus sp.) and Fibre flax (Linum usitatissimum). I am integrating Bioinformatics and Machine Learning process with largescale next-generation sequencings data towards deciphering genomic information and devising efficient strategies to genetically improve these crops. I am also contributing towards reviewing articles for various scientific journals and also an associate editor of 'The Heliyon' from Cell Press.
