Dr. Vishal K. Chavda, MS, PhD, PGDip (Clinical Psychology), FICN, FIN, is a Clinical-Neuroscientist whose work bridges clinical practice, translational neuroscience, and evidence-based medicine to advance the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of neurological disorders. His academic and clinical interests encompass stroke, cerebrovascular diseases, neurovascular medicine, brain and spinal disorders, neuro-oncology, traumatic brain injury, neurorehabilitation, and clinical neuroscience, with a strong commitment to translating scientific discoveries into meaningful improvements in patient care.

Dr. Chavda serves as Honorary Professor in the Department of Neurology, Neurosurgery & Neurogenetics and the Department of Clinical & Translational Research at the ChromoMED Institute, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, where he contributes to international academic collaboration, translational research, and postgraduate education. He also serves as Associate Professor with Honorary Distinction (Academic Editor) in the Department of Neuroscience & Neurosurgical Surgery at the Neurotraumatology Clinic, New Mexico, Mexico, supporting academic excellence, scientific publishing, and multidisciplinary neuroscience initiatives. In addition, he is a Visiting Research Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at the Traumatology Hospital of Azua, Dominican Republic, contributing to collaborative clinical research and neurosurgical education. He is also an Official Member of the Chair of UNESCO Digital Anatomy at the University de Paris, promoting innovation in digital anatomy education and international academic cooperation.

His international academic development includes advanced research and clinical training at Stanford University School of Medicine (USA), the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine (USA), and Gamma Knife Neurosurgery at Cannizzaro Hospital, Italy, complemented by fellowships in cerebrovascular medicine, spine disorders, movement disorders, and Parkinson's disease. These experiences have shaped his multidisciplinary approach to neuroscience, integrating clinical expertise with translational research and global collaboration.

Beyond his clinical and research activities, Dr. Chavda is actively engaged in scientific publishing and academic leadership as an editor and editorial board member for several international peer-reviewed journals. He serves as Lead Book Editor for major international reference works, including Neurogynecology and Associated Neurological Disorders (Elsevier), Traumatic Brain Injury Rehabilitation (Elsevier), Surgical and Non-Surgical Advances in Stroke Management and Therapeutics (Elsevier), and The Cerebrospinal Fluid Continuum in Stroke: Molecular Intelligence from Acute Injury to Function Recovery (Springer Nature). Through these editorial roles, he contributes to advancing scientific communication, evidence-based clinical practice, and interdisciplinary collaboration across the neurological sciences.
