About
I am Dr. Shashank Pal, currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the School of Engineering & Computing. My primary research interests lie in waste-to-energy technologies, alternative fuels, pyrolysis of mixed waste plastics, and clean energy applications in IC engines, especially Premixed Charge Compression Ignition (PCCI) mode.
My recent research focuses on the application of pyrolytic oil derived from plastic waste in internal combustion engines, investigating performance, emissions, and combustion behavior. I have a strong academic interest in fuel characterization, thermal engineering, and sustainable energy systems.
I am also actively involved in academic administration and accreditation-related work, with a keen interest in IQAC, NAAC, and NBA processes, quality assurance, and institutional development. Beyond teaching and research, I am passionate about leadership development.
