About
Dr. Kapil Chahal is a synthetic organic chemist specializing in medicinal chemistry and heterocyclic synthesis. He completed his Ph.D. at CSIR–IICT, Hyderabad, focusing on metal-catalyzed methodologies for the efficient and regioselective construction of complex scaffolds, including pyranoquinolines and naphthyridine derivatives. His expertise includes multi-step synthesis, reaction optimization, and compound characterization using NMR and mass spectrometry. His research also involves developing functional small molecules, such as fluorescent probes. Through collaborative work, he has gained exposure to biological evaluation, and his current interests lie at the interface of synthetic chemistry and chemical biology.
