About
A scientist with over 2 decades of scientific experience in diverse life science fields. I was
engaged in drug discovery research over several years for malaria, diabetes, metabolic syndrome,
musculoskeletal health, and arthritis, with a broader interest in understanding the pathophysiology of
various diseases and underlined inflammation, oxidant damage, and apoptosis that will have implications in
several chronic and infectious diseases.
The major role I played in various government and nongovernment drug-discovery projects involved the
development of in vitro models for screening of extracts and phytomolecules for various activities. besides
involvement in other aspects of drug development, viz., product standardization, pharmacokinetics,
dynamics, clinical trials, regulatory, etc. Besides scientific expertise, as a scientist I also have other skills,
viz., writing publications, grant applications, study reports, strong analytical abilities, data analysis, etc., and
administrative and organizational capabilities.
Currently, as an Assistant Medical Director at Viridis Biopharma, I coordinate and monitor medicinal
plant-based drug discovery and development projects involving standardization, analysis, in vivo/ in vitro
pharmacology of formulations, clinical trials, data analysis, preparation of project and product documents,
publications, and supporting the marketing team for technical details.
