Dr. Parthopratim Dutta Majumder completed his graduation and post-graduation from Silchar Medical College, Assam University. He pursued his fellowship in Medical Retina and Uvea at Sankara Nethralaya and currently holds the position of senior consultant in the same department. With a remarkable career, he has garnered numerous accolades, including the Dr. TLK Row Endowment Award for the best associate consultant (2010-11), the Dr. Nataraj Pillai Award, The Best of IJO, and the Dr. K. R. Dutta Award.
As a distinguished speaker, Dr. Dutta Majumder has delivered more than 260+ talks at various national and international meetings, sharing his expertise and insights. He has published more than 175+ research articles across diverse peer-reviewed and non-peer-reviewed journals. In recognition of his expertise, Dr. Dutta Majumder has held esteemed editorial positions. Dr. Dutta Majumder's expertise extends to the realm of academic writing, having authored over 70+ chapters in various ophthalmology books. He has also authored four books.
He is a member of the International Uveitis Study Group (IUSG), Intraocular Inflammation Society (IOIS) and now serving as treasurer of the Uveitis Society of India (USI). Notably, he is also the Founder cum Chief Editor of the popular ophthalmology portal www.eophtha.com
Dr. Dutta Majumder has been ranked among the world's top 2% of scientists in 2023 and 2024, according to the Scientist's List by Stanford University.
