About
I am Bheemalingam Chittari, from India. I am working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Physical Science, IISER Kolkata, India since Feb 2021. I do teaching and research in physics, under the field of computational condensed matter physics. I received a Ph.D. doctorate from the University of Hyderabad, institute in India. After completing my Ph.D in 2013, I moved to Dr. Vijay Kumar Foundation, India in 2013, where I worked as post-doctoral fellow for two years until I got a post-doctorate researcher position at Sungkyukwan university, South Korea, in 2015. I worked for a year and a half at Sungkyukwan university and moved to the University of Seoul, South Korea in 2016. I also visited the University of Texas, Austin, in March 2018, and The University of California at Berkeley during April-July 2018. It was a proud moment to work in these institutes. I have published more than 30 research articles in international scientific journals in my work tenure and delivered more than 30 presentations as a poster or oral talks at national and international platforms. For one of my presentations, I received the best poster award in Jan 2017. I love teaching and mostly to interact with young students. I like to nurture the students with the practical and theoretical experience of the subject to have a better understanding of what they have learned.
