Dr. Ramachandra A C is working as an Professor and Head of the Department at Electronics and Communication Engineering department of Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology, Bangalore. He is working at NMIT, Bangalore since August 2017. He also worked as Professor and Head of the Department at Electronics and Communication Engineering department of Alpha College of Engineering, and adjunct faculty at University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (Evening) Bangalore. He has over twenty five years of academics & research experience in various engineering institutes.
Dr. Ramachandra A C contributed more than 100 refereed articles, including papers in Web of Science/Scopus indexed journals, conference proceedings, and book chapters published by international publishers.. So far, his research work has been cited more than 450 times and his H and i10 indexes are respectively 12 and 14. Dr. Ramachandra A C successfully executed sponsored research and consultancy projects funded by VTU, Belagavi. He has supervised 5 Ph.D. thesis and 25 M.Tech. dissertations in the area of Image Processing and machine learning and currently supervising 4 more Ph.D thesis in this area.
He is serving as an active reviewer for few reputed scientific journals. He has also served in the technical program committees of various national and international conferences and Board of Studies (BoS) of various technical institutes/Universities. He has delivered more than 50 invited talks and lectures in conferences, workshops, short term courses, and academic events organized by various institutes. He has organized many international and national conferences, FDPs, STTPs, workshops etc. for engineering faculty and research scholars.
Dr. Ramachandra A C received a Ph.D. degree in computer science and engineering from Bangalore University, Bangalore, India. He earned his Master of Engineering and Bachelor of Engineering degrees, respectively, in Electronics and Communication Engineering from University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (Evening) Bangalore, India.
His research interests include Image Processing, Application of Machine Learning/ Soft Computing Techniques, Artificial Intelligence.
