About
Graduated in Veterinary Medicine (2013 – 2017) by the Federal University of Paraiba. Master in Histology (2018) by the Master Program in Animal Science (PPGCAn/UFPB) and PhD in Physiology by the Multicenter Program in Physiological Sciences - PPGMCF/UFPB by the Brazilian Society of Physiology (SBFis) (2019 – 2021). Postdoctoral fellow (2021 – 2023) at the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology at the Karolinska Institutet, host institution and organizer of the Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine in Stockholm, Sweden. He is currently a senior research associate at Karolinska Institutet and conducts studies in cardiorenal pharmacology and nitric oxide biology in partnership with Swedish pharmaceutical companies such as Bioconcept AB and Atrogi. He worked as an Assistant Professor at University Center of João Pessoa - Unipê (2019-2021) where he was responsible for the courses: Anatomy I and II, Histology and Animal Physiology I and II. Also worked as a visiting professor in master's and doctoral programs at the Federal University of Paraiba (UFPB). He received different individual awards, including the youngest person to obtain a doctor's degree in healthy sciences (PhD in Physiology) in Brazil. Has experience in cardiorenal physiology and pharmacology, histopathology, and animal disease models. He works with cardiovascular and kidney disease models, nitrate-nitrite-nitric oxide pathway and therapeutic applications of nitric oxide on longevity and aging.
