Dr. Shiv Kumar Lohan having a research experience of more than 25 years is currently working as Associate Professor in the Department of Farm Machinery & Power Engineering, Punjab Agricultural University Ludhiana (India). He has attained his B.Tech degree in 1997 and M.Tech in 1999 from CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar (India). He completed his Ph.D. from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana (India) in 2021. He also served as a Visiting Scholar at Center for Precision & Automated Agricultural Systems, Washington State University, Prosser, (USA) in 2020. He has authored/ co-authored more than 30 research publications in high impact factor/ NAAS ratings of International/National journals. He has co-edited three books; one is ‘Precision Farming: A new Approach’ second one was ‘Farm Power and Machinery Management’ in 2020 and third was Farm Machinery Design. He has been awarded with Young Scientist Award in the International Conference on Food and Agriculture ICFA-2018, held at Dhanbad (Jharkhand), India in 2018. One patent has been granted to him in 2014 and one patent has been filed in 2021.
