About
I’m Anil Kumar Rana master in Molecular and Human Genetics. I have been awarded INSPIRE fellowship to pursue doctoral research, by Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi. I have keen interest in the area of neuroepigenetic and adult neurogenesis following cerebral ischemic stroke. Currently, I’m doing Ph.D. in the field of neuroscience from the CSIR-IHBT, Palampur, India. The spotlight of my doctoral work is to understand how oestrogen deficiency following menopause alter the neuronal plasticity and decrease the regenerative potential of brain after cerebral ischemic stroke in women. Cognitive science, microscopy and molecular biology are the main tool that I’m using to address the question.
