About
Laxmi Srivastava did her BE and PhD in Electrical Engineering from University of Roorkee (Presently IIT Roorkee) India and MTech in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur, India. She joined Madhav Institute of Technology & Science Gwalior, India in1984 as a faculty member in the Department of Electrical Engineering and worked in various positions.
Besides, she also worked as Dean, Research and Extension, Dean Academic from Feb. 2011 to Nov. 2013 and and as Coordinator TEQIP-III. She is a Fellow of Institution of Engineers, IE(I), senior member of IEEE, life member of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), Institution of Electronics & telecommunication Engineers (IETE), Computer Society of India (CSI) and Indian Women Scientist Association (IWSA).
Her research is motivated by ANN, Fuzzy logic and Evolutionary computing based techniques for power system security assessment, optimization, control, distributed generation FACTS controllers and power quality. She is recipient of Khosla Research Gold Medal for best research paper in the year 2000, from IIT Roorkee, India.
She has guided around 60 ME Dissertations, 08 PhD candidates. She has published more than 150 papers in peer-reviewed international journals and conference proceedings and 02 book chapters.
She has successfully completed several Research & Development projects funded by DST, UGC and AICTE, New Delhi, India and has been involved in conducting National Conferences, Seminars, Workshops and Faculty Development Programs.
