About
Dr. Virendra Singh Kushwah is a senior academician and researcher in Computer Science and Engineering with over 17 years of experience in higher education, teaching, research, and academic administration. He is currently serving as Senior Assistant Professor in the School of Computing Science, Engineering and Artificial Intelligence at Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Bhopal University, India, where he is also the Programme Chair for the B.Tech. specialization in Cloud Computing and Automation.
Dr. Kushwah holds a Postdoctoral Research position (2025) from the Singapore Institute of Technology, Singapore, where his research focused on applying machine learning techniques to optimize laboratory drug discovery for breast cancer. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Maharishi Markandeshwar (Deemed-to-be University) in 2020, with a doctoral thesis on fault-tolerant load balancing strategies for cloud environments. His academic foundation further includes an M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from ABV-IIITM Gwalior, an MCA, and a BCA.
His research interests span cloud computing, fault tolerance, machine learning, information security, and soft computing. Dr. Kushwah has an extensive publication record, including numerous SCI/SCIE, SSCI, and Scopus-indexed journal articles, book chapters, and IEEE conference papers. He is also an inventor with multiple Indian patents and design registrations in AI-based cloud, healthcare, and agricultural systems.
In addition to research and teaching, he has held key academic leadership roles, organized international conferences, served as a reviewer for reputed journals, and actively contributes to professional societies at the international level.
