About

Post-graduated in Ayurvedic Pharmaceutical Branch - Rasashastra and started as Bhasma Section In-charge in a private firm "BSDT's Atharva Ayurved Pharmaceuticals, Wagholi". In a short while, got associated with Bharatiya Sanskriti Darshan Trust's Integrated Cancer Treatment and Research Centre, Wagholi, Pune. Initial work focused on standardization and process validation of Bhasma preparations (Gold, Silver, Copper, Iron, Marine drugs, etc.). Further got involved in Tata Trusts funded project for standardization of herbal, herbo-mineral-metallic and metallo-mineral Ayurvedic drugs used in Clinical Trials carried on Cancer patients with integrated approach. The work, positioned as Research Officer, had a responsibility to standardize the Ayurvedic formulations used in several types of cancer patients by developing manufacturing protocols, quality control, quality assurance, characterization of formulations, HPLC-ICPOES-GC analysis in our established lab. Advanced studies on characterization of Bhasma (nano-medicines), animal toxicity studies, shelf life studies, in vitro antioxidant capacity, cell lines studies and in vivo antitumor activities were also a crucial part with collaborations and technical services in renowned labs like CSIR-NCL, Pune; ACTREC, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai; Agharkar Research Institute, Pune and Indian Drug Research Association and Laboratory, Pune.
I am now heading an ISO 9001:2015 certified "Ayurvedic Drug Testing and Standardization Laboratory" under BSDT's ICTRC, Wagholi, Pune. We also conduct various personalized and institutional workshops for students and teachers for basic and advanced testing of natural products. I am also being invited for delivering guest lectures on Ayurvedic drug standardization and preclinical studies. I am also associated with Atharva Nature Healthcare Pvt Ltd for manufacturing, R&D and academic profiles. I am also awarded with prestigious "Da Va Shendye Shastri Rasashastra Award, 2020" given by "Vaidya Khadiwale Vaidyakiya Samshodhan Sanstha, Pune.
Currently, I am pursuing my PhD in breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy by studying effects of Ayurvedic nutritional intervention on anemia status.
