About

A condensed matter physicist working at the interface of Physics, Chemistry and Engineering of advanced semiconductor nanostructures for frontier technologies. Dr. Patsha's research interest centered on understanding the physics of novel two-dimensional (2D) & 1D nanostructures, and on engineering such nanostructures for advanced light-driven device applications. The current focus stands at the intersection of atomically-thin 2D semiconductors and van der Waals heterostructures for sustainable quantum technologies and energy-efficient device applications. Exploration of new synthesis methodologies, Light-Matter Interactions (LMI) in these novel quantum materials are the major thrust of his research.
He worked on several national and international collaborative projects with his expertise in the development of novel fabrication methodologies for 1D Semiconductor Nanostructures (Group III-Nitride Nanowires), 2D Materials, Heterostructures and Superlattices (Graphene, hBN, TMDCs) by CVD, MOCVD, HCVD, Intercalation Techniques, Light-Matter Interactions (LMI) in Metal and Semiconducting Nanostructures, Exciton Physics, Far-field and Near-field Spectroscopy (SERS, TERS, TEPL) of Nanostructures, and Nanoelectronic & Optoelectronic Devices. Passionately curious to expand his research contributions in advanced materials and disruptive technologies based on On-Chip Electronic and Photonic Integrated Circuits (EIC, PIC), Bio Applications, and will be looking forward for active collaborations.
