About

Emmanuel Shubhakar Pilli has 25+ years of teaching, research and administrative experience. He currently serves as Professor in the Department of CSE, Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur. He was awarded PhD from Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee for the thesis on "A Framework for Network Forensic Analysis in 2012. He received the Information Security Education and Awareness Project Fellowship for Research in Information Security given by Department of Information Technology, Government of India in 2011.

He completed a research project "Investigating the Source of Spoofed E- mails" from UCOST, Dehradun in 2016. He has coauthored two books - "Fundamentals of Network Forensics - A Research Perspective" for Springer in 2016 and "Cloud Security – Attacks, Techniques, Tools, and Challenges,” for CRC Press (Taylor and Francis) in 2021.

He has supervised 12 PhD Thesis and 49 M. Tech dissertations. He is presently guiding 2 M. Tech and 5 Ph. D students in Security & Forensics, Cloud Computing, Big Data, IoT, Quantum Computing and Blockchain. He has published 115 publications in SCI / Scopus indexed International Journals and Conferences.

He has officiated as the Head, Department of Computer Science and Engineering (2019-2021), Regional Coordinator MNIT-ISRO RAC-S (2021-2022), and Associate Dean Research in MNIT (2022-2024). He is holding additional charge of Dean Academic Affairs and Dean Faculty Welfare (2023 till date) of Indian Institute of Information Technology Kota. He is an Honorary Dean (Network & Hardware) in Rajasthan ILD Skill University, Jaipur since 2019. He is Co Chief Investigator in MNIT Electronics and ICT Academy sponsored by Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY) since 2015.

He is Senior Member of both IEEE and ACM and Life Member of CSI. He is member of Cloud Computing Innovation Council of India (CCICI) and Quantum Ecosystems Technology Council of India (QETCI).
