About
I am currently working as a Humboldt Fellow at Georg-August-Universität Göttingen/Fakultät für Physik, specializing in research on photon upconversion and luminescent nanomaterials. My focus is on the applications of nanomaterials in optical and biomedical domains. With a background spanning over a decade in this field, I earned my PhD in Physics from joint work at the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines) and the University of Göttingen.
In addition to my research, I have ~ 42 journal/chapter publication record, 6 guest editorships, and ~310 peer-review for esteemed journals and books.
I have also evaluated 44 research grant proposals from the Research Foundation – Flanders (FWO, Belgium) Czech Science Foundation (GACR. Czech Republic) and EU Horizon 2020 (European Commission).
I have received the Web of Science Top 1% Peer-Reviewer Awards in 2019 and 2020.
I have been awarded/selected for the following Fellowship/Scholarships and Research Grants:
**Postdoctoral Fellowships: Alexander von Humboldt, Marie Curie Cofund, MSCA (gratefully declined), Erasmus Mundus (European Commission), and SERB-NPDF, India (gratefully declined)
**Doctoral Fellowships: Erasmus Mundus (European Commission) IIT (ISM) Dhanbad JRF/SRF
**Scholarship during Masters: Merit-cum-Means, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad
**Research Grants:
National Research Foundation (South Korea)--Principal Investigator
Science and Engineering Research Board (India)--Principal Investigator
Furthermore, I have delivered five invited and tutorial talks at various international conferences and workshops.
