Dr. D. Easwaramoorthy embarked on his academic journey with a keen interest on teaching and research in mathematics. He was born in Rasipuram, Namakkal, Tamil Nadu, India. He received the M.Sc. Degree in Mathematics from the Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli, India and the Ph.D. Degree in Mathematics from The Gandhigram Rural Institute (Deemed to be University), Gandhigram, Dindigul, India. He currently serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics, School of Advanced Sciences, Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India. His tenure at VIT began in July 2013. His research interests include Fractal Analysis, Fractal Dimensions, Fuzzy Metric Spaces, Fuzzy Mathematics, Signal and Image Analysis, Biomedical Signal Analysis and Biomedical Image Analysis. He has published numerous research articles in the reputed scientific journals and conference proceedings. He is a life member of many professional societies such as Indian Mathematical Society, Ramanujan Mathematical Society, The Indian Science Congress Association, International Society of Difference Equations, Academia for Advanced Research in Mathematics, MathTech Thinking Foundation, Indian Society of Theoretical & Applied Mechanics and others.
