About
Dr. Mohammed Kasim C. completed M.A Econometrics (2007) and M.Phil Economics (2009) from Pondicherry University. He obtained PhD in Applied Economics from Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) in 2019. He has been working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Farook College since 2013. Previously, he worked as a Research Associate in the Department of Applied Economics at CUSAT, and as a Business Analyst in the Retail Market Research Wing of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) at Electronic City, Bangalore. He has served as a Consultant to the National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR) and the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Crops (ICRISAT), Hyderabad for various projects. He is a Research Supervisor currently guiding four Scholars. His recent research focuses on Sustainability Issues of Agriculture, Food Security and Nutrition, Employment Distress and Livelihood Diversification, Assessment of Livelihood Vulnerability and Coping Strategies, and Applications of Qualitative Response Regression Models.
