About
Azhar Jamil, presently working as Associate Professor at AMU Aligarh, pursued his PhD from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Politecnico di Milano (Polytechnic University of Milan), Italy in 2014 and was part of the 'Vehicle and Machine Design' research group. His research is primarily devoted to numerical simulation of fatigue crack propagation FCG in adhesively bonded composite materials. He started his engineering career from NIT Srinagar and got graduated in 2004, after which he served in different multinational industries as production and design engineer for a period of two years approximately. He worked as a visiting faculty in NIT Srinagar, India on one semester contract before doing his master?s degree M.Tech. from the same institute in 2009. Before starting his PhD, he was also working as a visiting faculty in MNNIT Allahabad, India on one semester contract. Before joining A.M.U, he was working as a Post Doctoral Research Associate, at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Politecnico di Milano, Italy, where he was involved in the design and modelling of composite overwrapped pressure vessels COPV.
