About

I was born in Jaitaran (Rajasthan) and obtained primary and secondary education in my native itself. I eventually moved to Jodhpur to attend J.N.V. University at Jodhpur for graduate program in Science.

I earned my post graduate degree in Bioinformatics from the prestigious Sikkim Manipal University of Health, Medical and Technological Sciences.

I moved on to Super Computer Aided Biotechnology Centre at University of Agricultural Sciences Bangalore and scaled up my bioinformatics capabilities in building up open source bioinformatics platforms.

I was in North Eastern Hill University Shillong, I discovered that my specific interest in the genomic diversity of North-Eastern Himalayan Flora. I specifically chose to become a genomics researcher because I was fascinated by the workings of the plant material harvested from their natural habituates, and felt it very rewarding to try to decipher the impact of evolutionary pressure on wild plants and their adaptive strength with changing climate.

Next generation sequencing technology had given a great momentum of my research and opens various dimensions for me to explore genomic responses of plants that help me to understand plants behavior with respect to several biotic and abiotic stresses. It was chosen as my doctoral project at Department of Botany, University of Delhi.

Eventually, I joined Incedo as Scientist to develop NGS bioinformatics platform for the analysis and interpretation of oncology data procured from both public and private domains. I have deployed open source technology to decipher differential gene expression behavior in breast and colon cancer, and their regulatory mechanisms governed by chromatic status and small interfering RNAs. Additionally, I also established a analytic workflow to predict the association genes with diseased linked phenotype.
