Research Summary:
I Dr. G. Nagaraju completed Master of Science from Bangalore University (2000) and Ph.D.under the supervision of Prof. G.T. Chandrappa, Dept. of Chemistry, Bangalore University, Bangalore (2009). I moved to Prof. Sampath research group, Dept. of Inorganic and Physical Chemistry, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore to work as postdoctoral fellow on lithium ion battery from 2009-2011. Later I have selected as CNPq-TWAS postdoctoral fellow under the supervision of Prof. Jairton Dupont, Laboratory of Molecular Catalysis, Institute of Chemistry, UFRGS, Porto Alegre, Brazil (2011-2012). During this tenure I have worked on the synthesis of TiO2 nanoparticles using functionalized ionic liquids for water splitting reaction to produce hydrogen. After getting little knowledge on materials chemistry, (synthesis and characterization), I have used the nanomateails for lithium ion battery, H2 generation and photocatalytic degradation of organic dyes.
I joined as Asst. Prof. at Center for Nano and Material Sciences, Jain University, Bangalore (1.3 years) and Dept. of Chemistry, BMSIT, Bangalore. (01 year). Currently I have been working as Asst. Prof. at Department of Chemistry, Siddaganga Institute of Technology, Tumkur.
