About
He primarily focuses on understanding the impact of land use/land cover and anthropogenic heat release changes on urban heat islands and localized convective precipitation in tropical cities. He is also working on the future climate projection for urban areas, considering the coupling effects of global climate change and local urbanization, providing and assessing mitigation and adaptation strategies for
urban climate change. He has experience with a wide range of numerical climate models including the Weather Research and Forecast (WRF) model for high-resolution regional climate simulations. He has also been working on multiple-layer urban canopy models, which are used for studying the physical processes at the land surface and boundary layer over complex urban areas.
