About

Dr Suchetan Pal obtained his BSc and MSc in Chemistry from Jadavpur University and the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. Then, he joined Arizona State University for his doctoral studies. After completing the thesis work on “DNA directed self-assembly of plasmonic nanoparticles,” Dr Pal moved to a joint post-doctoral position at Columbia University and Brookhaven National Laboratory. He completed another postdoctoral stint at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center before joining the Indian Institute of Technology, Bhilai, as an assistant professor. Currently, he is an associate professor in the Departments of Chemistry, Bioscience and Biomedical Engineering.

His primary research focus includes biomolecular nanotechnology for drug delivery, biosensing, and bioimaging.
